Measuring can actually be quite difficult. In this video, the camera changes from parallel to the floor to 10 degrees off level. Similar to how it looks when I bend over and measure for myself.
This leads to a .25 difference… making a consistent viewpoint paramount to accurate tracking.
I prefer the 10 degrees off parallel because it makes it much easier for me to talk about it, as it is what I see when I measure on my own. Is it my true size? No. But I would assume most of you at home measure very similarly to me. You are not filming it, you don’t make money from it. Calling the 10 degrees off level your size is fine in my book because it is literally what you see.
For me, I am held to a much higher standard. So from now on. I am going to report both. a perceived mesurement vs actual measurement
this post is part of the prelude to my new blog series. But I need to get baseline measurements, and for any good logging, you need to set a scale.
Expect me to post a video measuring everything for the new day 1 size.
